Field Trip for Hyattsville Elementary School

March 18, 2024: We are beyond excited to announce that EcoHorizons has officially confirmed their first field trip serving students from Hyattsville Elementary School. The trip will bring 61 fourth graders to Rock Creek Park, a 30-minute drive from the school, and will be funded under the National Park Trust’s Every Kids Outdoors Small Grant Program (see post here). The field trip will take place on May 23, 2024 and start in the early morning and end just after noon. We have arranged bus transportation with the local vendor, Chesapeake Charter. 

Over the past few months, we have been working with Mr. Leandro Pavon, the community coordinator at Hyattsville Elementary School, who shares the same enthusiasm as we do toward environmental education. We have also been collaborating with several nearby schools in the DC area to organize field trips for them as well.
